DEWA floats tender for Rashidiya Reservoir complex

Electro-mechanical contractors required for refurbishment

Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (DEWA) has floated a tender for electro-mechanical works to upgrade the Rashidiya Reservoir complex.

The tender documents are available with the main cashier at the DEWA head office from Sunday to Thursday between 8am and 2pm upon payment of AED200.

This non-refundable payment can be paid in cash or online through the DEWA website under the link http://e-services.dewa.gov.ae/tenders/tender_list.aspx or through the link https://srm.dewa.gov.ae/irj/portal/anonymous, payable by locally-issued credit cards.

Tenders must be valid for acceptance for 120 days from the closing date of the tender.

The master tender document must be accompanied by a tender bond for an amount of not less than 5% of the total tenderer price. The tender bond needs to be strictly in accordance with the authority's prescribed terms and be valid for 150 calendar days following the last date fixed for receipt of tender.

Completed tenders need to be enclosed in a plain cover and red wax-sealed envelope, clearly marked 'Tender RFX No. 2131300001 - electro-mechanical scope of works for refurbishment of Rashidiya reservoir complex'.  should be addressed to: the chairman, board of directors, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and delivered into the Tender Room at DEWA's head office near Wafi Shopping Mall in Zabeel East, Dubai.

The closing date for receipt of tender is 11am on Wednesday, 10 April, 2013.

Participants in the tender should submit the names of their local partners/sponsors, and submit a photocopy of their current Dubai Trade Licence.
