Energy management specialist Schneider Electric has launched its Energy University Online learning platform during the fourth Gulf Intelligence Doha Energy Forum 2013.

Energy University is an online, educational resource, offering more than 200 vendor-neutral courses on energy efficiency and data centre topics to help people identify, implement, and monitor efficiency improvements within organisations. Courses are self-paced and available on-demand.

Ghassan Barghouth, Schneider Electric's country president  for Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, said: "Our Energy University online learning platform is an extension of our commitment towards Qatar National Vision of 2030, under the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, where we contribute to the development of the human capital, the progress, prosperity and sustainability of the society."

Prospective students can choose from two certification opportunities: Data Centre Associate and Professional Energy Manager (PEM).

With over 18 endorsing organisations, the online free course is available in 12 global languages including Arabic and English.

While the firm has been actively present in Qatar for more than 30 years, Schneider Electric hopes to continue to work with the Qatar economy with its latest offering.
