Azmeel Contracting wins $270m Ma'aden home project
First phase award to deliver 800 villas for company's Jubail employees
Ma’aden has concluded a contract with Azmeel Contracting & Construction Company for the engineering, procurement and construction of a new housing project for Ma'aden employees.
The $270m (SR1bn) contract is for the first phase of the Mutrafiah Housing Project at Jubail Industrial City and involves the construction of 800 villas, the first of which will be ready for occupancy in late 2014.
In its entirety, the Mutrafiah Housing Project, an important part of the Ma'aden Home Ownership Program (HOP) for its employees, will comprise 3,600 villas on Royal Commission lands.

In addition to the Mutrafiah Project, another 256 family apartments are currently under construction in the Jalmudah District of Jubail industrial City, with the first batch set for Q2 2013 occupancy.
