Al Ain's Wahat Hili Mall approaches completion
Mall management set end of August date for opening of outlet
The Wahat Hili Mall project in Al Ain is approaching completion and is set to open at the end of August, according to the outlet’s management.
Announcing the news during a press conference at the site which gave media a look into the virtually finished project, Saeed Al Dhaheri, CEO of Wahat Hili Mall said work was now in its final stages.
“We are excited to be able to relay that the opening date is set for 28th August, 2013. Wahat Hili is currently carrying out the final steps in its bid to start serving the community and tourists,” said Al Dhaheri.
The Mall's biggest anchor, Géant Hypermarket, is currently executing fit-out works on its 6,900m² outlet, with some civil work reportedly remaining as well as a good percentage of its electro-mechanical requirements carried out.
The shopping complex will also offer a range of retail, food, entertainment and services to surrounding community and visitors including Fitness First, My Play Zone, Jamaica Blue, an Australian coffee shop, and Jumbo Unwired.
My Play Zone unit will be handed over in March, while remaining tenants will have possession of their leased premises in April and May.
“Wahat Hili will be much more than a mall in terms of shopping, dining, entertainment and convenience. Rather, the shopping complex will be a catalyst for further economic growth in Al Ain. We expect it to draw in 175,000 weekly visitors by the end of 2013, which if achieved and probably exceeded, will mean a boost to the city's stance as a must-see destination,” said Al Dhaheri.
