Jeddah is in line for several new infrastructure projects this year including bridges and tunnels, the city’s deputy mayor has said.

Ahmed Al-Hujari was speaking at the annual Bridges and Tunnels Saudi Arabia show on behalf of Mayor Hani Abu Ras.

Hazim Abdulwahid, coordinator of the event and CEO of Hazim Consulting said: “The participants will try to highlight problems and challenges and at the same time will share their experience and knowledge of construction materials, methods and best practice case studies,” said Abdulwahid.

“Time is very important when constructing bridges and tunnels. Jeddah needs an advanced network of bridges and tunnels.”
