Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) intends to pre-qualify international consultants  for under taking a review of the masterplan of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi, it states on its website.

The expression of interest adds that interested consultants must have a proven track record of successfully handling airport materplans for large airports (80 million plus passengers a year).

Consultants should also have successfully carried out at least two masterplanning consultancy assignments of this magnitude during the last five years.

The scope of work includes reviewing and/or upgrading the masterplan through data collection, existing situation analysis, issues identification, stakeholder consultation, development of options for expansion, land use review, finalisation of development plans and implementation programme, etc.

A client certificate of experience should show the nature of the work done, its value, date of start, date of completion as per agreement, actual date of completion and satisfactory completion of work.

Another requirement is a banker’s certificate confirming financial standing to handle a work of this magnitude in about nine months time.

In terms of technical capability, interested consultants must have a proven capability of successfully handling airport masterplans for large airports with traffic demand growing to 80 million plus passengers or so a year.

They should also have a strong team of experienced masterplanners, particularly in the field of traffic forecasting, airport planning, land-use planning and environmental management, etc.

Interested parties may submit their pre-qualification documents, along with company profile, full detail of works carried out, testimonials certifying details of works, bankers certificate, and CVs of their key professionals who will form part of the project team in a sealed envelope by 30 April to the CEO, DIAL, New Udaan Bhawan, Opposite Terminal 3, IGI Airport, New Delhi - 110037.
