Atlantic Contracting in tie-up with foreign player
MD says contractor is finalising JV with reputable foreign company
Leading Qatar contractor Atlantic Contracting is finalising a JV with an unspecified international company "that can boost our capability of winning mega projects," MD Mohamad Charara tells CWQ.
"We are on the way of finalising a JV with a reputable foreign company," says Charara. "At this stage we are in the process of strengthening our construction reputation of branded hotels, which is one of the most needed aspects of the 2022 World Cup."
Charara says Qatar "has a lot of potential for growth, and we witnessing the foundation and opening up of well-known international company branches in Doha."
He adds: "Qatar can easily lead the region and be the regional growth hub for the construction industry." However, it was essential that proper planning and risk assessment procedures be adhered to.
Atlantic Contracting's current projects in Doha range from Brooq Tower in West Bay to the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel at Al Sadd and the Al Baker Tower.
