CW Awards Oman: Richard Lisker PM award winner
Hoehler + Partner man crowned Project Manager of the Year
Richard Lisker, of Hoehler + Partner was named Project Manager of the Year at the Construction Week Awards: Oman.
The judges believed Lisker's entry demonstrated his strong team leadership and the instrumental role he played in the completion of the German University of Technology project, which also picked up the prize for Commercial Project of the Year.
"The most difficult challenge was to introduce the new technologies we used in this building," said Lisker, after picking up the award.
He was presented with the award by Gopalkrishnan Satyamurthy of Towell Construction, a silver sponsor of the event.
"I think it is a very strong team I have worked with in the last years," said Lisker, when asked why he thought he'd won. "To be successful , you need a strong team, working together, and some luck as well."
Subhash Narkhede from Bahwan Engineering Company was highly commended in the category, having proven his project management expertise in a wide spectrum of projects over 20 years of working in Oman.
The award was announced at a gala ceremony held in Muscat, which saw 12 accolades presented to a selection of industry-leading companies, projects and individuals.
Selected finalists from the Construction Week Awards: Oman, which was sponsored by Famco, will get a further chance to claim success at the GCC edition of the Construction Week Awards, to be held in Dubai, on 11 December.
