Tekla appoints Middle East managing duo
BIM interface developer shores up regional growth
Building Information Modeling (BIM) software firm Tekla has announced the appointment of a new management duo to drive forward its operations in the Middle East.
Paul Wallett takes on the role of area business director after a two-year stint as the company’s business manager, and Anwar Al-Qwasmi has been recruited as the general manager for Saudi Arabia.
It is hoped that the new appointments will build on Tekla Middle East’s double-digit growth over the past three years.
Wallett said: “At a time of sustained growth across the region’s construction industry, we are here to help our customers and partners realize maximum profit from their projects. BIM software is the way forward for the construction industry.”
Wallett brings 25 years of in-depth international and regional experience to his post, having worked in software industry in the UK, Far East, USA and the Middle East over the past 17 years.
Anwar Al-Qwasmi added: “The expansion of the construction sector in KSA is fuelling the demand for technology. In such a dynamic market, companies demand the right tools and market expertise to facilitate growth, and we are ideally positioned to provide this.”
Anwar Al-Qwasmi is a veteran of the Saudi market, having spent 16 years working for many of the Kingdom’s leading companies, including managing projects for Saudi Aramco and SABIC.
