The senior programme director responsible for delivering the Doha Metro will deliver an update on the project to industry figures at Construction Week's Leaders in Construction Conference at the Grand Hyatt in Doha this Tuesday (9 April).

Adrian Shaw, who also worked on the UK's Channel Tunnel project, will be one of several key figures in the region to speak at the event, which will also feature an update on the Doha New Port project by Aecom programme director Tim Verdon and an address on stadium designs - a timely discussion given the issue of a design tender for the first new-build stadium for Qatar's World Cup by the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee last week.

An overview will also be provided on how Qatar's hospitality industry is faring, and a series of panel debates will take place discussing subjects such as collaborative leadership, the real estate market and the prospects for the construction sector over the next 12 months.

A number of free places at the conference are available for qualifying members of the contracting, property development and MEP industries. For details, visit the conference's microsite:https://www.constructionweekonline.com/conferences/leaders-qatar
