Design consultancy group Burt, Hill is embarking on a huge recruitment drive to staff its newly opened office in Abu Dhabi.

The firm, which opened its new office in September, is looking to take on approximately 75 people, Sara Moore, principal and board of directors, told Commercial Outdoor Design in an exclusive interview.

Around 10 of these will be landscape architects, she added.

"It's all furnished, we just now need all the people. It's operational now," Moore said of the new location.

Recruitment for the new office will start from January, she added.

Established in the region since 2004 through its Dubai office, the US firm currently employs 404 people in the Middle East, including approximately 40 people in its masterplanning and landscape architecture group.

Projects the firm is currently working on in the region include MotorCity and Jebel Ali Village in Dubai.

The company, which has ten locations in the US, currently employs more than 800 people in total. A US-based landscape team provides additional support on local projects.

Burt, Hill offers various services including architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, creative services, interior design, and master planning.
