Dubai contracts for Trans Gulf

Trans Gulf Electro-Mechanical has won contracts worth a total of US $88 million (AED325 million) for two Dubai-based projects.

Trans Gulf Electro-Mechanical has won contracts worth a total of US $88 million (AED325 million) for two Dubai-based projects.

In a $27 million contract the firm will provide full MEP services installation to the Irish Tower in Dubai Technology, Electronic Commerce & Media Free Zone (TECOM). The firm has begun mobilisation works for the 38-story tower project, which is currently at piling stage.

In a second contract worth $61 million, Trans Gulf will install MEP services for the Dubai Racing Club project in the city's Nad Al Sheba district. The firm will provide services for a 300-room hotel and the Goldolphin Racing Club that form part of the overall development in a 15-month contract.

The entire project is due to complete within 20 months in order to be ready for the 2010 World Cup. Arabtec is the main contractor.
