Nakheel has announced the launch of 84 new townhouses and a 608,000ft2 recreational area at its Jumeirah Islands project behind the Jumeirah Lakes Towers project in Dubai.

The firm said that the townhouses each have around 3,630 ft2 (337m2) of space and range in price from $1.07m (AED: 3.95m) to $1.32m (AED: 4.86m), ddepending on plot size, location and view.

Each house has a double garage, maid's room, study and private garden. They are set within a gated community that includes gardens, green areas and a large swimming pool.

It added that the new recreational area, Jumeirah Islands Park, will house a parkland and a community centre with ten shops including a supermarket, F&B outlets, a fitness centre and sports courts.

Construction of the park and the townhouses will get underway during the final quarter of this year and will take two years to complete, Nakheel said.
It added that it has already pre-sold 40% of the plots being released at a value of $38.1m (AED: 140m).
