Kingdom Holding Co. board member resigns

Ahmed Reda Halawani quits due to personal obligations & commitments

Kingdom Holding Co. has announced the resignation of Eng. Ahmed Reda Halawani (non-independent) executive board member from his position as member of the board of directors and investment committee, as well as from the position of executive director for International and Private Equity,

In a statement the company said Halawani's resgination was due to due to personal obligations and commitments.

KHC represented by HRH the chairman and members of the board of directors thanked Halawani for his valuable and effective contribution during his tenure at KHC.

KHC is the Saudi Arabian conglomerate owned by Prince Alwaleed which is behind the 1km-long Kingdom Tower scheme.

The tower, which is expected to be complete in 2018, will be mixed-use, featuring a Four Seasons hotel and serviced apartments, office space, condominiums and the world's highest observation deck.

A contract for the piling works was signed with Saudi Bauer Group in October. Piling works were expected to begin in late December and take ten months to complete.
