LG launches new inverter air conditioning product
Product billed as one of world's most energy-efficient air con units
LG Electronics has announced the launch of its commercial inverter air conditioning solution, the Inverter Single Package, which is to go on sale in Saudi Arabia this month.
The product is equipped with the company’s latest inverter technology contributing to what LG says is an impressive integrated energy efficiency ratio (IEER) and a high energy efficiency ratio (EER).
With an IEER of 20 and an EER of 12.5, based on the performance of the 10 refrigeration tonnes (RT) units, the company claims that this makes the Inverter Single Package one of the most efficient temperature control solutions in the world.
In a test conducted at a South Korean government facility, LG said the Inverter Single Package demonstrated its top-flight efficiency by cutting annual power consumption by an impressive 25%.
John Lee, president of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, said: “This environmentally-sound inverter air conditioner guarantees strong, quiet performance and significant energy savings. The Inverter Single Package will help to further solidify LG’s strong position in the Middle Eastern air conditioning market. We will continue to grow our global business through designing and manufacturing the most energy efficient, technologically advanced products possible.”
The company added that the Inverter Single Package offers near-silent operation and is easier to manage, monitor and maintain due to a number of advanced control systems, while the eco-friendly R410 refrigerant ensures cleaner operation with fewer CO2 emissions.
Also featuring LG’s pressure control system, the Inverter Single Package is said to be capable of cooling an indoor environment more quickly than ever. The company claim that its solution can achieve the desired indoor temperature up to 30% faster than previous constant single package models.
LG’s product further claims to be more eco-friendly than other system air conditioners.
It uses the R410A refrigerant, which reduces CO2 emissions as well as energy consumption.
In an experiment conducted in Saudi Arabia, LG says the Single Inverter Package proved the environmental benefits of using R410 refrigerant when compared with a 12.5RT unit employing a standard-type refrigerant, as LG's solution was able to record a 23% decrease per tonne of oil equivalent (TOE) and a 23% decrease in CO2 emissions.
The product is also said to deliver a more peaceful and relaxing environment at nighttime due to LG’s Night Silent mode.
