Five properties receive certification from global sustainability body

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is celebrating the recertification of all five of its Jordanian properties by a leading global sustainability system.

The Green Globe Certification (GGC) was received following a second annual in-depth sustainability audit conducted by Farnek Consulting, GGC’s exclusive partner in the Middle East.

The Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba, Mövenpick Resort Tala Bay Aqaba and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea all achieved top global rankings, while the Mövenpick Resort Petra and Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel recorded an impressive 91 per cent during the process.

GGC is based on internationally accepted criteria for sustainable operation and management of travel and tourism businesses.

Based in California, GGC operates under a worldwide license and is represented in over 83 countries.

GGC is also a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council which is supported by the United Nations Foundation.
