Tender to build $218m The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah

Nakheel's Dubai development expected to be ready in 2016

Master developer Nakheel has floated a tender to build The Pointe development on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah.

The project is located at the tip of the man-made island across the bay from Atlantis.

It consists of retail, food and beverage areas, external landscape areas, car parking structure, monorail station and waterfront promenade.

The deadline for submissions is noon on 29 September 2013.

In July Nakheel awarded a contract for the groundworks at The Pointe development on Palm Jumeirah to Freyssinet Gulf.

Under the deal, Freyssinet will carry out ground preparationg work, including topographical surveys, site investigation and vibro-compaction work. Construction work is expected to start on site towards the end of the year.
