Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has fully acquired Hochtief Facility Management Bahrain (HTFMBA), which was earlier a joint venture between BAC and Hochtief.

With BAC buying out Hochtief’s stake in the company, HTFMBA is now a 100% Bahraini company and has been renamed as BAC Facilities Management W.L.L.

BAC, which is responsible for operating and managing Bahrain International Airport, had appointed Hochtief to manage the airport’s facilities in 2010.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, chief executive officer of BAC, said, “In keeping with our mission to enhance the airport's capabilities and diversify its revenue streams, we envision valuable business potential following the full acquisition of Hochtief Facility Management Bahrain.”

Al Binfalah has said that the acquisition will not impact the FM company’s operations, and that business will run as usual.
