Meydan Sobha revealed their vision for Mohammed Bin Rashid City – District One at Cityscape 2013, set to be one of the world’s lowest density residential environments with the world’s largest man-made lagoon.

Located four minutes from Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, Mohammed Bin Rashid City will have more than 60% of open and green space amongst 1,500 the villas alongside retail zones, leisure and sports attractions.

This will make 14m m2 Mohammed Bin Rashid City one of the lowest density residential developments in the world and a unique proposition on the Dubai property market.

PNC Menon, founder and chairman, Sobha Group said: “In the past six months since announcing the Meydan Sobha partnership, we are proud to have begun converting the vision of Mohamed Bin Rashid City - District One into reality. Our team of architects, contractors, project managers and horticulturalists have been working on the infrastructure of the project. We are highly confident of fulfilling our commitments and delivering a truly unique residential community in the UAE.”

Mohammed Bin Rashid City will also feature the Crystal Lagoon a 7km man-made stretch of beach whose technology was developed in Chilli.

The project is to be delivered in four phases, the first phase expected to be completed by 2016.
