Schneider Electric hosts seminar in Riyadh
Event held as part of its 'Healthcare Solutions Week' in September
As part of its “Healthcare Solutions Week” in September, Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia conducted a three-day seminar called “Build a Better Hospital” to promote the development of better healthcare facilities in the country.
According to The Saudi Gazette, the seminar, which was held at the Intercontinental Riyadh Hotel from September 16-19, had Christophe Campagne, country president, Schneider Electric and Michael Sullivan, vice president, Global Health Solutions as its key speakers.
"The healthcare solutions seminar was hosted to spread awareness and focus on the need for better design and architecture of the energy infrastructure,” said Campagne. “It is important to ensure hospital security and patient safety through reliable power, security, and IT solutions in the healthcare sector.”
“At Schneider Electric, we remain fully committed to promoting the development of more efficient healthcare units in the Kingdom,” Campagne said.
While the first day of the seminar had an open discussion on issues in the healthcare sector and how one can solve them, the second and third days of the event covered topics related to improving finances of healthcare units, increasing overall patient safety and satisfaction, empowering technology in the hospital environment and operating a ‘green’ hospital.
"Our objective is to deliver solutions that enhance productivity by achieving more with less,” Sullivan said. “This seminar served as an ideal platform to promote awareness about these concerns and encourage the conceptualization of innovative solutions."
Schneider Electric used the seminar to also announce the launch of its latest healthcare platform, “Struxureware for Healthcare,” which integrates medical and non-medical platforms into one user-friendly interface.
