Rezidor to open five new Saudi hotels
Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson hotels to be developed by partners
Rezidor Hotel Group has revealed that it has signed 8 new deals to add 1,400 rooms to its portfolio - five of which will be in Saudi Arabia. The company said that the Kingdom remains a "key focus", alongside Russia and Turkey.
The company will partner with local developers to open the new properties in the Kingdom, said president & CEO Wolfgang M Neumann.
"Saudi Arabia has experienced continuous economic growth and offers considerable potential for our core brands Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson," said Neumann.
"In line with our development strategy targeting a profitable, sustainable and asset-light growth in emerging markets and selected countries, we aim to further strengthen our presence in Saudi Arabia together with powerful regional partners."
One of the other deals signed was for a new 137-bed Radisson Blu Hotel in Algiers, Algeria, which will open in 2015. The firm is targeting more homes in North Africa.
