Galfar says MD has resumed work

Executive has been questioned by 'concerned authorities'

Oman's Galfar Engineering and Contracting has said that its managing director had resumed work after being questioned by authorities.

On October 10, Galfar had said its managing director was called for questioning by ‘concerned authorities’.

It did not provide the name of the executive or any additional details, such as why the executive was questioned, other than to state that the company was running as normal.

Its brief statement issued to the Muscat Securities Market on Sunday the firm said that the managing director had returned to work on 14 October but did not give any further information.

Galfar is one of Oman's biggest construction companies and has worked on several key projects in the Gulf state.
