Global exhibitions organiser, Deutsche Messe, will work in collaboration with the American University in Dubai's (AUD) Department of Interior Design to launch Designer's Corner, at Domotex Middle East 2008.

The event will showcase the latest and most creative interior design projects from student designers throughout the Gulf region.

"Our students have always participated at galleries and exhibitions, but the Designer's Corner is definitely unique. It provides a unique opportunity for the graduates to get in touch with flooring companies and design firms," said Dr Linda Nubani, assistant professor of interior design, AUD.

The activity comes at a time when statistics show the Middle East's interior design market to be worth US$ 6.5 billion, in furniture and design-related product imports in 2006. Design seminars discussing the latest design trends in flooring will run concurrently during the three-day event.
