Egyptian Contracting Co wins $87m Oman water deal

Pipeline will transport water from Wadi Diqa Dam to Deam Reservoir

The Egyptian Contracting Company has won an $87m water pipeline project in Oman.

The company will build a 50km line to transport water from Wadi Diqa Dam in Quriat State to Deam Reservoir in Al Amirat State.

The project also includes a pumping station, a reservoir with a 2,000m3 capacity and a control room. It will be completed in 22 months.

“The company has been chosen as it offered the best technical and financial offer,” said Egyptian Minister of Investment Osama Saleh.

The Egyptian Contracting Company is a subsidiary of the state-owned National Construction and Development Company.
