Target Engineering Construction Company, a subsidiary of Arabtec Holding, has received contracts worth a combined US $215 million (AED792 million) for three projects in Abu Dhabi.

The first is a $163 million contract for the construction of a commercial centre in the Khalidiya area.

The project will be made up of an office and residential tower, each with 34 floors. The completion schedule is 26 months.

The second letter of award was received from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to construct a new quality control laboratory building at Ruwais.

The contract is worth $26 million and will be completed over 20 months.

The third contract was also received from ADNOC for the construction of a police complex at Das Island.

Valued at $26 million, the project will be completed in 18 months.

"These projects extend Arabtec's share in the booming Abu Dhabi market," said Riad Kamal, CEO of Arabtec Holding.

Arabtec Holding announced in November 2007 that it had acquired 60% of Target Engineering Construction Company.
