MoU signed to manage Oman's Port of Khasab

Musandam port will be run by Iran's Kaveh Port and Marine Services

Oman's Port Services Corporation (PSC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iran's Kaveh Port and Marine Services (KAVEH) to manage and operate Port of Khasab in the Musandam Governorate.

KAVEH is operating six ports in different regions of Iran, including the activities of handling containers, general cargo, logistics and railway, marine and land transport.

Upon signing the MoU, it will review the feasibility study carried out by the PSC  in respect of managing and operating Port of Khasab. Thereafter, it will provide the business plan, development requirements, infrastructure in terms of berths, drafts, storage areas required in the port in addition to the business volume which the company would bring to Port of Khasab.

The MoU was signed on behalf of PSC by CEO Saud Bin Ahmed Al Nahari, and on behalf of kaveh by Mohammed S. Kaveh, chairman of the board and managing director.
