Ashghal floats three new tenders in Qatar
Public Works Authority is seeking contractors for road projects
Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has floated three new tenders for projects on the country’s road network.
Amongst the tenders, Ashghal is looking for a contractor to carry out maintenance and safety measures on its expressways and rural roads.
The core network of highways covered include Al-SHAMAL Highway (North Road), Al Khor (North Relief) Road, Al Wakrah - Mesaieed highway and connecting links of primary and secondary roads.
In addition, maintenance activities along Salwa International Highway and Dukhan Highway are to be carried out on-call basis.
The closing date for the tender is 4 March, 2014.
Ashghal has also floated a tender for road improvement works in the South of Doha.
The project is in an area of Al Wakrah Municipality and within the boundaries of Zone 90 to 95, and will comprise the construction of temporary/permanent roads.
The contractor will construct, test, commission the whole of the works within 540 days and maintain for 400 days after completion, with interested parties having to apply by 25 February, 2014.
In a separate tender, Ashghal is looking for a contractor to construct an 8km access road to connect a treatment plant with the Salwa Road. The road will include one roundabout and five junctions.
The closing date for the tender is 25 February, 2014.
