The Bahrain Ministry of Works is set to complete the installation of a new bridge near the US Navy base on the island.

Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman causeway will be closed to traffic for one night on 30 January to facilitate the works.

The Ministry has made special arrangements for road users to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the area.

The east-bound traffic will be diverted to Al Fateh Highway, while west-bound traffic will be diverted to Dry Dock Highway in Muharraq Governorate from 11pm on Thursday till 6am on Friday, a statement from the Ministry said.

The bridge installation is being done by Ministry Roads Affairs in co-operation with the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of the Interior, it added.
