InterCityHotel, a subsidiary of the Steigenberger Hotel Group, is to open a facility in the heart of Dubai’s new Cultural Village quarter.

Construction work is due to start in June this year, with the hotel to open its doors in November 2016.

The InterCity Hotel Cultural Village will be located on Dubai Creek and will include 150 double rooms 22.5m2 in size, and 65 serviced apartments.

The hotel will also feature a restaurant and bistro lounge and there are plans for a coffee or juice bar, a 250m2 conference centre and spa.

“The Middle East represents the next stage in our expansion strategy,” said Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotel Group. “The hotel we are planning in Dubai will establish us in a new market and enable us to pursue ongoing global growth.”
