STFA bids for Salalah loop gas line project
Deadline for Oman Gas Company tender closed last week
Turkish contractor STFA has confirmed it has submitted a tender for the Salalah loop line project in Oman.
Regional Vedat Koca told CW that the paperwork was filed with Oman Gas Company S.A.O.C last week.
The tender calls for complete engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
Koca told CW that STFA was monitoring phase two of the 280km Muscat to Sohar pipeline.
The project is being developed by joint venture Orpic Logistics Company (OLC), which consists of Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC) and Spanish company Compania Logistica de Hidrocarburos CLH.
Phase two centres on the construction of a pipeline from Sohar refinery to a new terminal at Al Jifnain, near Muscat, as well as the terminal itself.
