Imdaad makes presence felt at MEFMA Confex 2014
Company shares its sustainable growth strategies at the two-day event
Imdaad was an active participant in the discussions around sustainable growth and development issues and challenges at this year’s Middle East Facility Management Association (MEFMA) Confex, which was held at The Address Hotel in Dubai Marina.
As one of the platinum sponsors for the MEFMA Confex, Imdaad got together with leading experts, professional and industry stakeholders from around the Middle East for the two-day event, which was held under the theme, ‘Spotlight on the Region’s Constant Expansion’.
Commenting on the event, Imdaad CEO Jamal Abdulla Lootah, who also serves as the president of MEFMA, said: “The FM industry plays an important role in promoting sustainability and energy conservation among members of society.”
“This puts the industry in an excellent position to influence other sectors to embrace sustainable technologies and practices such as the use of more efficient and cost-effective alternative sources of energy,” Lootah said.
“Through MEFMA Confex 2014, Imdaad was able to share some of the major measures it has taken to support sustainability,” Lootah added. “One of these measures is using eco-friendly equipment in all its operations. The company’s expertise and insights are highly valuable in the industry’s efforts to contribute to the global movement of protecting and saving the environment.”
Supported by the Dubai Real Estate Authority and Dubai Real Estate Institute, MEFMA is a non-profit group that pushes for long-term sustainable development in the Middle East to make the region a model of excellence in the world.
“MEFMA’s goal is to continuously promote this vital role by educating the public and pushing for relevant reforms and regulations across the Middle East,” Lootah said. “MEFMA also provides research studies as significant tools in strategically accomplishing our objectives.”
