The Leaders in Construction Qatar conference is just two weeks away, with the cream of the industry set to come together at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha.

The event comes against a backdrop of a number of significant infrastructure contracts, with sizeable rail and road contracts inked in recent weeks.

A number of speakers from all areas of Qatar’s construction industry – including contractors, consultants and government bodies – have been confirmed for the event, with subjects such as contract payments, worker safety, logistics management and infrastructure challenges all on the agenda.

The event will also provide a perfect opportunity for networking, with some of the industry’s key decision makers in attendance.

“Leaders in Construction Qatar provides an outstanding forum to network and to learn about the progress being made across Doha and Qatar to deliver some of the most iconic and important construction projects in the world,” said Neil Kirkpatrick, sustainability manager for the local roads and drainage programme, Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Kirkpatrick is part of a first-class line-up of speakers at the event, which will also include Engr. Meshal Al Dhanim, member of the Central Municipal Council; Vinod Kambrath, senior strategic planning specialist President Office, Ashghal; and Rod Stewart, managing director of Atkins Middle East.

Mark Rudman, country director, Qatar, Faithful+Gould will also speak at the event.

“The conference is an excellent forum to get an up-to-date perspective of the current market. It is an opportunity to get an understanding of the key aspects and challenges of projects that are in the pipeline.”
