Emirates FM wins Emirates Transport contract
Three-year deal will cover FM at 31 Emirates Transport buildings
Emirates Facilities Management has won a three-year contract to provide eco-friendly FM solutions to Emirates Transport, the UAE government-owned company that provides transportation and associated maintenance services to both the public and private sectors.
Under the terms of the contract, Emirates Facilities Management will cater to 31 Emirates Transport buildings that include offices, garages and warehouses spread across the country, and directly support Emirates Transport’s goals to promote sustainable development across every aspect of its operations.
Commenting on the contract, Jaber Al Ali, general manager, Emirates Facilities Management, said: “Emirates Facilities Management and Emirates Transport share a key mission - to organise and manage maintenance services and supervise operations in a bid to simplify the work of various federal and local government agencies.”
“Our comprehensive services will seek to complement Emirates Transport’s professional services, in accordance with the highest safety and environmental standards,” Al Ali said. “With our assistance and facilities management expertise, Emirates Transport can ensure that it meets customer requirements, both in terms of environmental safety and efficiency as an integral part of their core offerings.”
Emirates Transport’s transport strategy has been developed through the Centre for School Transport network, which is spread across 19 business centres, seven subsidiaries and over 30 locations within the UAE. The upkeep of these facilities is integral to the success of the core business.
Emirates Facilities Management will manage this wide portfolio of buildings with customised and world-class health safety and environment (HSE) procedures, round-the-clock assistance, and call centre support.
The new contract adds Emirates Transport to Emirates Facilities Management’s growing portfolio of clients, which includes the UAE Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Emirates Post, Dubai Health Authority, Etisalat Academy and Emirates Identity Authority.
