As the deadline for nominations to the 2014 Facilities Management Middle East (fmME) Awards draws closer, members of the region’s FM industry are gearing up for what looks set to be another successful instalment of the annual event.

The fmME Awards pay tribute to the people, projects and companies making their mark on the region’s facilities management industry. Nominations for this year’s awards close on Wednesday, 9 April, 2014, and winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in Dubai on Wednesday, 4 June, 2014.

“The fmME Awards are a great opportunity for the FM industry in the Middle East to showcase talent and raise industry standards,” said Bill Heath, chairman, Macro. “The recognition by winning an award clearly helps with our business profile, but more importantly, it provides for employee recognition.”

Commenting on Macro’s performance since winning the FM Consultancy of the Year gong at the 2013 fmME Awards, Heath said, “Macro has had another successful year with our business continuing to expand across the GCC region. We are now looking at new markets such as Africa and India."

“In terms of new business, we have received repeat orders from existing clients, along with new notable client engagements such as Qatar Petroleum," Heath added.

Emrill’s commercial director, Saeed Ahmed, agreed with Heath on the significance of the fmME Awards for the region’s FM industry. Emrill was the winner of the Overall FM Company of the Year title at the 2013 fmME Awards.

“The Overall FM Company of the Year award is extremely prestigious and reaffirmed Emrill’s position as the industry leader with a solid commitment to the advancement of FM in the region,” Ahmed said. “We have taken great strides in developing and using innovative technologies to realise greater efficiencies, and provide an unparalleled service quality to our clients.”

“In the last year, we have been fuelled as a company to bring further innovation to the industry and keep raising the bar of service excellence,” Ahmed added. “We have enjoyed continued success and growth and this year has been the most successful and illustrious in our history.”

Ahmed also gave his staff full credit for Emrill’s win last year. “We are extremely proud of the award, a great achievement in recognition for Emrill’s employees at all levels within the organisation,” Ahmed said. “Our success would not be possible without all the women and men who act as ambassadors for Emrill, and take pride in delivering service excellence across the country.”

This year’s fmME Awards is accepting nominations in a total of 15 categories. For more information about the categories, check out the official website of the awards by clicking here. For any clarifications or enquiries about the awards, please contact events manager Michelle Meyrick. Email:
