Nakheel launches tender at Al Furjan development
Scope of works involves construction of infrastructure systems
Master developer Nakheel has floated a tender for the construction of infrastructure systems at its Al Furjan development in Dubai.
The scope of works includes: internal roads with signage and markings, street lighting, medium voltage and low voltage power network, main irrigation network, sewer and potable water network with pump stations, telecom network, fire fighting network and pump station, storm water network, and civil works for the gas network.
The deadline for tender submissions is 7 May, 2014.
Last month, Nakheel awarded two 18-month contracts worth a combined AED526mn ($143mn) for the construction of 401 villas and terraced houses at the residential development located south of Ibn Battuta Mall and adjacent to Discovery Gardens and The Gardens.
The first, covering 249 homes, was awarded to Ginco General Contracting; the other to United Engineering Construction (UNEC) for 152 homes.
