Drake & Scull wins $40mn Algeria contract

Company to undertake civil construction portion of mixed-use project

Drake & Scull Construction (DSC) has been awarded a turnkey project worth $40mn (AED147mn) to build a mixed-use development in Algiers.

Under the terms of the contract, DSC, the general contracting arm of Drake & Scull International PJSC (DSI), will undertake the civil construction portion of the project, which covers a total built up area of approximately 66,500m2.

The development comprises multi-storey residential units which also contain commercial retail space in the capital city.

DSI has a major presence in Algeria and is currently undertaking several projects across the residential, commercial and waste water sectors.

In the year to date, DSI has secured $323.9mn (AED1.19bn) worth of work in the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Europe and India across the engineering, general contracting and waste water sectors.
