Contractor appointed for new Mudon retail centre

Dubai Properties appoints Condor Building for 20,000m2 facility

NEWS, Business

Dubai Properties has appointed a contractor to build a new 20,000m2 retail and leisure centre within the Mudon community under development at Dubailand.

The firm said that the new centre will contain a grocery, a nursery and 14 leasable retail units including a cafe and family restaurant with outdoor seating, kiosks and a medical clinic. It will also offer outdoor facilities including a pool, two tennis courts and a children's playground.

The centre is going to be built by Condor Building Contracting and will complete by early 2015.

Dubai Properties is the arm of Dubai Properties Group responsible for delivering new homes for sale to investors. Last week, the group, which is part of Dubai Holding, also launched a new dedicated portfolio management arm, Masat, to look after its built to lease properties.

It is complemented by the group's own facilities management company, Ejadah.

Masat will be responsible for maintaining existing communities like Layan, Shorooq, Ghoroob, Al Khail Gate, Nuzul, Bay Square Plaza, and The Villa.

It will also be responsible for managing retail units at The Walk at JBR, Bay Avenue in Business Bay, as well as all community centres in DPG’s communities.
