Arabian MEP wins retail and sports facility deals

Company to work on LuLu Hypermarket and Al-Ahli Sports Club projects

Qatar-based contractor Arabian MEP has announced that it has won contracts for work on the LuLu Hypermarket project at Messilah, a sports facility, and upgrading at Al-Ahli Sports Club.

The Lulu Hypermarket project is a direct award from the developers with 18 months completion period. The project has a 30,000m² built-up area and the scope includes a central chilled water system comprising of three chillers, a basement car park ventilation system, plumbing, firefighting, electrical and extra light voltage (ELV) systems.

Qatar Insurance Company and LuLu are joint developers on the project, with Arab Engineering Bureau acting as project consultant. Construction work is expected to start shortly.

Arabian MEP’s award for the sports facility building and upgrading works at Al Ahli Sports Club has a 12-month completion period. The project involves work on the facility’s administration building, changing rooms, TV studio, TV room, ancillary buildings, with the scope including HVAC, plumbing, draining, fire fighting, electrical and ELV systems.
