Faithful+Gould wins two Abu Dhabi contracts

Firm working on Saadiyat Rotana Hotel and Sowwah Central Mall

NEWS, Projects, Abu dhabi, Faithful+Gould

Faithful+Gould has picked up two projects in Abu Dhabi.

The project management firm is working on the Saadiyat Rotana Hotel, where its scope is pre- and post-contract cost consultancy services for client Al Diya Hospitality.

Steven Batchelor, operations head for F+G Abu Dhabi, said around 5% of the project is completed and the handover date is Q4 2016.

It has also won pre-contract cost consultancy services with Gulf Related for Sowwah Central Mall, set to start next year.

Batchelor sees opportunities in F+G's core business of infrastructure, hospitality and retail.

“With the rental cap removal and the opportunity for investors to make increased yields on residential investments, together with current squeezed renters looking to buy instead of rent, we would anticipate this market shall move forward positively this coming year.

“For commercial, industrial and transportation we are seeing more opportunities within the market, and we would hope these sectors improve as the general economy recovers and moves forward.”
