Geberit appoints new head of Gulf region MD
André Winogradsky takes over from Stefan Schmied in Dubai-based role
Switzerland-based sanitary technology company Geberit has announced the appointment of André Winogradsky as head of Gulf region managing director for its international sales.
Winogradsky will oversee the development of the two core business areas of sanitary and piping products in the region.
Commenting on his new role, Winogradsky said: “The expertise and technical skills of our people are our key asset. I see numerous opportunities for growth in this exciting region and look forward to working with my colleagues to take the business forward to new levels.
“It is an exciting time for Geberit, we have the right people in place and an exciting new portfolio of products to introduce to the industry in this region and I relish the challenge ahead of me,” he added.
Winogradsky replaces Stefan Schmied in the role. Schmied has taken over as Geberit’s managing director for the South and North East Asia region.
The news followed the March appointment of Christian Buhl as the company’s CEO. Buhl, who joined Geberit in 2009 as head of strategic planning, replaced Albert M. Baehny in the position.
