Tabreed wins Abu Dhabi contracts

District cooling firm Tabreed has won six contracts in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

District cooling firm Tabreed has won six contracts in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

The contracts will produce a combined cooling capacity of over 57,000TR and include the provision of services for the HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan mosque, a government building, three mixed-use developments and a school.

Further projects included in the contracts will provide cooling for a 20-storey commercial and residential building and, under a deal with Aldar Properties, th firm will provide cooling services for all of the residential villas and commercial developments as well as all the TAALEEM Schools within the Al Raha Gardens project.

“The new cooling plants being constructed at the Police Guard area and at Khalifa City will be ready by April 2009. They will increase our capacity to supply cooling services to more developments in the area by 80,000 TR,” stated Tabreed chief executive officer Dany Safi.

“These wins are important additions to our existing Abu Dhabi client portfolio and we are building three new plants to service some of them, while others will be supplied from our existing plants,” Safi added.
