Vladimir Djurovic scoops ASLA award

Lebanon-based landscape architecture firm Vladimir Djurovic Landscape Architecture wins an award from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Lebanon-based landscape architecture firm Vladimir Djurovic Landscape Architecture has won a design award from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

The firm won an honour award in the residential design category for its Bassil Mountain Escape project in Faqra, Lebanon.

The judges described the design as 'innovative and poetic'. "The landscape architect brought the elements of space and beauty together to create a very restful, liveable place. The project shows great poise and restraint. This designer knew exactly when to stop," the jury commented.

Vladimir Djurovic Landscape Architecture was the only Middle East firm to be recognised in the annual awards.

The prestigious General Design of Excellence award from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) was given to US landscape architecture firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol for its Lurie Garden project in Chicago.
