Al Karmel wins contract for 118 RAK townhouses
company to build new Bayti development at Al Hamra Village scheme
Al Karmel Building Construction has won a contract to build a new phase of the Al Hamra Village development in Ras Al Khaimah.
The company has been appointed to Bayti, a development of 118 townhouses which will start on site in June and are set to complete in December 2015.
These will complement the recent launch of Falcon Island by the same developer, Al Hamra Real Estate, which is a man-made, $272mn island set to contain 150 villas, including eight mansions. The construction cost of Falcon Island has been set at around $163.6mn (AED600mn).
Benoy Kurien, general manager of Al Hamra Real Estate Development, said: “We are delighted to announce Al Karmel as the contractors to develop our latest venture at Al Hamra Village.
"Bayti will utilize some of the latest advances in sustainable construction. From energy efficient structures and insolated walls, to solar heated water tanks and energy efficient water tanks. We are looking at every feasible technology to make these homes sustainable while providing great value to homeowners."
Al Karmel is a Ras Al Khaimah-based contractor which was set up in 1995.
