Oman's SEZAD completes $4.4bn worth of projects

Yahya bin Said Al Jabri, chairman of Oman’s Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD), has revealed that as many as 29 projects valued at a total of $4.4bn (OMR 1.7bn) have been completed at the Duqm Economic Zone.

Among the projects are a commercial terminal, the drydock, Duqm port, power plant, water desalination plant, electricity distribution network, water distribution network, main road, sanitary drainage plant, Crowne Plaza Hotel, City Hotel, the hospital expansion and employees' camp.

Al Jabri was speaking during a presentation for Oman’s consultative assembly, Majlis Al Shura, chaired by Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma'awali, Times of Oman reported.

The presentation covered other projects, such as natural gas supplies, railway, the port, the internal roads, the expansion of the water distribution network, the expansion of the electricity network and drainage network.
