Kentz wins $125mn Qatargas wastewater plant deal
Firm to build facilities for recycling wastewater at four LNG trains
Kentz Corporation has announced that it has won a $125mn contract to supply a new wastewater facility to Qatargas at its LNG plant at Ras Laffan Industrial City.
Kentz said its scope of work is to look after Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Construction, and Commissioning (EPICC) services to deliver wastewater recycling and reduction facilities to four LNG trains.
The firm said that at its peak, around 400 staff and field personnel will be working on the project, which is due to complete in 2016.
Tush Doshi, president of the firm's engineering and projects unit, said: "Kentz is extremely happy to be awarded this package and to continue our long-standing relationship with Qatargas.
