Pure Technologies has been awarded a leak detection contract by Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa).

The contract is valued at up to $4mn and will run over a three-year period starting from this month.

Pure, through its Abu Dhabi based operations, will provide leak detection services on a significant portion of Kahramaa's large-diameter pipeline network.

The section of the network carries treated and desalinated water for commercial, industrial and residential users.

In 2011, Pure’s regional branch manager, Ramuel Garcia, told Construction Week that the company would be targeting the Middle East for work.
