The AED77mn ($20.9mn) Dalma Mall Road Improvements project in Abu Dhabi has been completed and is now operational.

The project, implemented to the east of Abu Dhabi via the Abu Dhabi – Al Ain Truck Road (E-30) main road, connects Mohammad Bin Zayed City to Mussafah Industrial Area near Dalma Mall, and serves several new residential communities in the Emirate.

Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) said this area is one of the fastest growing communities of the capital with high traffic congestion especially at the peak hours.

In addition to cutting congestion, the project has provided an appropriate exit from Dalma Mall, which will be opened soon in stage two.

Acting general director of main roads at DoT, Eng. Khalid Rashid Deemas Al-Suwaidi, said: “The area is one of the fastest growing locations with Dalma Mall and neighboring areas taking a prime role. The DoT’s studies for the area has aimed to ease the traffic congestion whilst helping motorists reaching their destinations on time and conveniently."
