Carillion Saudi Arabia wins $118mn hospital deal
Firm to build Phase II of Riyadh’s Aldara Hospital and Medical Centre
Carillion Saudi Arabia has announced that it has won an $118mn (SAR ) contract to build the second phase of the Aldara Hospital and Medical Centre in Riyadh.
The hospital, being built by Aldara Medical Corporation, will be an advanced facility and the largest outpatient centre in Saudi Arabia.
Phase one of the project is being executed by Arabtec Terna, a joint venture (JV) between Arabtec (60%) and Greek firm Terna (40%). The JV won a $107.7m (SAR 404m) contract for the project in May of last year.
At the time of the contract award, Arabtec said the JV’s portion of the project is scheduled for completion in early 2015. It consists of a 105-bed, six-storey hospital and two medical centres.
