Al Maeen to tender for landscape contractor on Omani project

Al Maeen Real Estate Services to for a landscape contractor on the Malkai development in Oman.

Development company Al Maeen Real Estate Services is planning to tender later in the summer for a landscape contractor on the Malkai development in Oman, a source on the project has revealed.

The Malkai development, which is being developed at a cost of US$250 million, will contain extensive landscaped grounds, according to the firm.

Landscape design for the project was done by Bali-based landscape architecture and resort planning consultancy Intaran Design, which was contracted to work on the project at the end of last year.

The Malkai development has more than 100 villas, and includes a golf course, designed by Gary Player Design.

Infrastructure works on the development are set to begin later this year, with completion anticipated by 2010.
