The report into the decision to award the 2022 World Cup to Qatar will not be finished until September, FIFA has said.

Football’s world governing body was expected to deliver the report this month.

“We expect to deliver our report to the adjudicatory chamber by the first week of September 2014,” said the FIFA Ethics Committee in a statement.

Michael Garcia has been heading the probe that is also looking at the vote to award Russia the tournament in 2018.
